The required website “About” page
1. Photos update on Monday and Wednesday. Yes You Can! updates Tuesday and Thursday. But you need to know something about that…
The way the site works now: If you click the navigation buttons below the comic, you will only see comics. If you click below the photos, you will only see photos. To go between one and the other, you need to choose them from the sidebars. What that means is that if you come on a Tuesday and see Yes You Can! on the front page, clicking “Previous” will not take you to Monday’s photo. You’ll go the the previous page of the comic. The site’s software is designed like this.
Navigation is to the right. Click as you see fit.
2. Starting September 6th, “Yes You Can!” will update every Monday and Wednesday. The photos will then be posted on Tuesday and Thursday. On that day, the size of the comics and photos will be brought up to 900 pixels wide from it’s current 800 pixels. That shouldn’t cause many problems in load times and monitor-killing given the average state of computers and high speed internet these days, but I thought I should mention it.
3. As you can tell by the bottom of the page, the site is powered by WordPress and Webcomic. Both have recently upgraded their software to new versions and bugs are bound to crop up. If you come across anything broken, let me know please. I’ll try to patch things up best I can and send the information to the developers.
4. The RSS feed link is now at the bottom of the page, if that’s how you prefer to get your internet.
5. The Six Questions are mini interviews I did with friends, associates, and people I find interesting, who I felt would be willing to answer them. They’re the same six questions, just tailored to each person. The hope is that these work a lot better then a list of links in the sidebar.
6. Yes You Can! logo by the one and only Shaun Henderson. I’d link to him, but his site is in redevelopment right now.
7. My name is William George. If you make that all one word and stick a Gmail address at the end of it, you can contact me.
